5 Holiday Activities in the Hamptons, December 2020

Just because it’s not beach season, doesn't mean you don't deserve a trip out to the Hamptons. 1. Santa's Storefront Holiday Decorating Contest

If you’re looking to shop, starting on December 5th, the Village of East Hampton will be holding their annual Santas Storefront Holiday Decorating Contest! The contest encourages businesses to decorate their storefront windows in classic holiday story themes. The Village of East Hampton is a perfect destination to visit, shop, and celebrate the holiday season. 2. Taste the reds at Wölffer Estate

Calling all wine connoisseurs! Enjoy the exquisite experience offered at Wölffer Estate winery. While enjoying a nice glass of wine and the scenery,  take a moment to just relax and enjoy some time with family or friends. Of all the things to do in the Hamptons, relaxing at Wölffer is one of the most popular choices, so go early to grab a table or book a tour of the property by calling ahead.

 3. Gingerbread University 

Everyone loves making gingerbread houses during the holiday season, but why not take it up a level this year? Gingerbread University is a unique stop to take your family for a fun and exciting experience. You have the option to choose from a variety of giant cookies or houses to then design and create your own edible masterpiece. If you don’t have time to make your own creation, you can visit their bakeshop and purchase a delicious treat or take-home kit!

 4. Seal Hike at Montauk Point State Park

Even though this activity isn’t geared specifically towards the holidays, participating in this outdoor activity and unique experience will definitely be worth it. The Seal Hike can be about 2- 3 miles and along the hike you’ll have the opportunity to see seals in their natural environment! The hike is led by a State Park naturalist and usually lasts between 2-3 hours. It’s very easy, very relaxed, and very doable for beginners. However, space is limited and reservations are required. While you’re there, you’ll also be able to see the Montauk lighthouse.

5. Sag Harbor Friday Night Lights 

Venture over to Sag Harbor where every Friday night, the village of Sag Harbor will light up with holiday fun, stores will have extended hours, and there will be specialty dining, holiday music, and weekly events. Walking down Main Street is sure to  get you into the holiday spirit that you won’t want to miss out on.
