4 Holiday Dessert Recipes So Delicious, You May Not Want To Share

I don’t know about you, but I’m all about desserts during holidays. Homemade goodies make lovely gifts. Below are some treats I’ve tested that I think you’ll enjoy as well- with some tips added. If you plan to share you may want to double these batches, because they are too good to give away.

1.) Peppermint Bark

If you’re not a huge fan of baking, then this is the recipe for you. It calls for peppermints, white chocolate, and peppermint oil, but it’s just as good without the peppermint oil. Peppermint bark can also made adorable gifts, just pack out in a decorative tin of wrap up in parchment paper.

If you’re not a fan of peppermint chunks like me, crush the peppermints until they’re small like pebbles and/or fine like sand.

2.) Eggnog Bread Pudding

I love eggnog, so I jumped on the opportunity to make this recipe when I discovered it. Did I mention croissants are the bread of choice? Yup, it’s that good.

I'd recommend doubling the ingredients to create a bigger, richer pudding.

3.) Salted Caramel Apple Pie Bars

I’m not a huge fan of pie, but I’m a fan of these bars because they resemble an apple crisp. They’re also notes of caramel everywhere, from the caramel sauce down to the crust.

The best apples to use in this recipe are Golden Delicious apples. They stay firm during the baking process.

4.) Salted Chocolate Chunk Shortbread Cookies

Yes, another “salted” recipe, but let me explain. This recipe went viral last year, and they live up to the hype. I could eat the dough by itself, but it’s 10x better baked and you’re left with a huge batch to eat with others- or alone ;).

Feel free to swap out chocolate chunks with chocolate chips.
